Focus Notes-AnalogiesStudents take Focus Notes after watching videos, reading passages, and learning key concepts in class. Their notes are organized with questions or main ideas on the left, notes on the right, and summaries on the bottom of a T-style chart.

Focus Notes-PronounsFocus Notes are used for the purpose of repetition: to review, to circle key words, to underline central ideas/key concepts, to write question marks on confusing parts, and to place an asterisk on any vital information that they predict may be on a future exam or assessment.

Focus Notes-Social StudiesStudents are given time to resolve their unanswered question and study their notes before taking a test. Students typically do this by using the fold-over method or by quizzing each other using information from their notes.
